On an islet of Lago de Santana in Barrinha, the house adopts horizontality and rammed-earth walls, integrating with the sandy landscape and ensuring privacy.
Strategic cuts in the walls filter the wind, keeping rooms well-ventilated. The local marmeleiro technique — wooden rods placed side by side — was applied to the bedroom screens: an openwork that controls sun and airflow, delivering thermal comfort and privacy in a hot region.
